The Peter Salmon Art Club is excited to announce the inaugural Fundy St. Martins Plein Air Art Festival!

The festival will occur on June 12, 13 and 14, 2026. We invite artists and the broader community to visit, participate, and celebrate the beauty that surrounds us, through art.
​
Artist's Tickets for this event are sold out however Gala Tickets, at $35 are still available. Join in the festivities by spectating and visiting Art Painting Sites. Maps are available at the Peter Salmon Art Centre, 304 Main St St Martins.

What is Plein Air Art?
Simply put it is artists painting in the open air.
Itinerary
We have arranged for a dinner and social get-togethers for Friday and Saturday evening. Attendance is optional however space is limited. See details on the registration form. ease bring a guest or friend. If they do not paint they are welcome to join the social gatherings and Gala event Sunday, June 14 with a $35 Gala Ticket. The Gala Tickets are sold on Eventbrite. If you do not use Eventbrite please contact Lori Doyle at (506) 643-0994.
Friday, June 12/2026

9:00 to 12:00: Check-in at the Peter Salmon Art Centre, 304 Main Street, St. Martins, New Brunswick, Canada where you will be given a map with your pre-approved sights, lunch and swag bag. The map will also include all approved designated sites and amenities.

All artists are welcome to paint in designate areas for the remainder of the morning.
​
1:00 to 4:00: Timed event at The Caves. The location is designated on the Festival Map. ​​
All registered artists wishing to paint The Caves will pick a spot in a location of their choice, overlooking of the Caves. Invited artists will be assigned a location from which they will paint. The Caves will be completed in three hours or less for everyone wishing to submit their piece for judging!

​4:00 to 5:00: All artists are invited to display their work to be judged, and Invited artists will display their work at the Peter Salmon Art Centre and to be judged. ​
A first place, cash prize will be awarded to both Invited and Registered Artists.

7:00: Gather at the St. Martins Country Inn for your pre-booked buffet dinner and social. Cost $40 (See registration form below for details) and a reservation is necessary.

Saturday, June 13/26:
​
9:00 to 12:00: Pick up your lunch at the Peter Salmon Art Centre & any new information for the day's activities.
​​
Full day of painting at designated locations.
​​
6:00: Gather for a pre-booked dinner and social at the Caves Restaurant. (Cost is not included in registration) Those joining us can have their pick of three choices, (these choice will be announced soon).
Sunday, June 14/26
​
9:00 to 12:00: Pick up your lunch and any new information on the day's activities at the Peter Salmon Art Centre.
​
You will have the morning to finish your piece(s).
1:00 to 4:00: Bring your artwork to the Four Seasons Complex, NLT 4pm, (location is on your Festival Map), for exhibit and judging, prizes will be awarded at the evening Gala.
​
4:30 to 7:30: The Grand Finale Gala will be held at the Four Searsons Complex. There will be Food, Light Refreshments, Cash Bar, Live & Silent Auction, Awards and Music.
​
7:00: Music by Hot Dog Water
​
Awards: First in:
Seascape, Landscape and Gardens/Flowers
​
People's Choice Award voting and presentation of the awards will be at the Gala. All those attending the Gala will be asked to vote for their favorite.
​
Weather is always a factor especially when creating outside. We have a number of areas that have cover. We will also make every attempt to offer temporary cover, if necessary.
